Ben Carson will head back to his home in Florida following the Iowa caucuses Monday night and take a break from campaigning for a few days, according to his campaign.

The retired neurosurgeon’s campaign confirmed, however, that he’ll stay in the race regardless of his performance in the first-in-the-nation caucus.

Jason Osborne, a Carson spokesman, tweeted Monday evening:

There is a blizzard warning in effect on Tuesday for the Des Moines area.

While most presidential candidates will head to New Hampshire and South Carolina after Iowa, Carson might speak at his Iowa victory party before results are calculated and take a flight home to rest for a few days.

He’ll head to Washington, D.C., on Thursday to attend the National Prayer Breakfast.

Carson, who briefly led GOP front-runner Donald Trump in Iowa polls in November, has fallen into fourth place in the polls after a series of national security missteps. His campaign manager and communications director also departed from his campaign amid a major staff shake-up.
