Al Qaeda is warning the United States of the “gravest consequences” if authorities execute Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the convicted Boston Marathon bomber.

{mosads}The threat came in a new video from al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri, Reuters reported Friday. Zawahri also warned the U.S. not to execute any Muslim prisoners.

Tsarnaev learned to build explosives from an Al-Qaeda sponsored magazine. He was sentenced to death on May 15, 2015, for killing three and injuring over 260 people in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
