‘Duck Dynasty’ star: ‘I like’ Trump

“Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson said over the weekend that he likes Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“Willie, do you love Trump?” the celebrity real estate tycoon asked Robertson during a rally in Oklahoma after inviting the A&E star, who was clad in camouflage shorts and an American-flag bandana, to join him onstage.

{mosads}“I do like me some Trump, I’ve got to admit,” Robertson told the crowd at the Oklahoma State Fair as Trump, wearing a suit, patted him on the back.

“Here’s the deal: We’re both successful businessmen. We both have pretty big shows on television. We both have wives that are 1,000 times better looking than us. So I like [Trump],” Robertson explained.

Robertson earlier this year indicated his support for home-state Gov. Bobby Jindal (La.) in the GOP presidential race. Jindal had previously made an appearance on “Duck Dynasty.” Robertson also reportedly penned an email request in late June for donations to Jindal’s campaign.

A spokesman for Jindal told The Hill on Monday that while Robertson “obviously admires Trump’s business acumen” he spoke with the Louisiana governor over the weekend and still supports his presidential campaign.

Jindal, who is polling well behind Trump, has recently targeted the businessman, who has been leading the polls for months.
