Katie Couric shares she went on a blind date with Cory Booker
Former “Today” host Katie Couric revealed Wednesday that she went on a blind date with Senator and 2020 presidential candidate Cory Booker (D-N.J.).
Couric told Wendy Williams on her eponymous talk show that the two went on a blind date “a long time ago,” and offered praise for Booker and his current girlfriend, actress Rosario Dawson.
{mosads}“We went to a Giants football game,” Couric said as Williams pressed her for details. “Did we kiss? No, we did not kiss.”
“He was really nice though,” she added. “This is a long time ago. He’s an incredible person.”

Booker’s love life has become a point of interest as he campaigns for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020. He recently confirmed that he is dating Dawson, the star of “Rent” and a Voto Latino activist.
Couric described Dawson as “a really cool woman,” and spoke highly of her involvement in political land social causes.
Booker, 49, appeared on a different talk show Wednesday morning when he became the first 2020 Democratic White House hopeful to appear on Ellen DeGeneres’s daytime talk show.
The New Jersey Democrat, a longtime bachelor, told DeGeneres that Dawson “has taught me a lot of lessons about love already.”
