Election hackers altered voter rolls: report

Hackers successfully altered voter information at least once during the 2016 presidential campaign, according to a Time magazine report Thursday.

The hackers manipulated voter information in a county database, according the report. Investigators do not yet know whether the hackers were affiliated with Russia. The voter rolls were corrected after the attack was discovered.

{mosads}Another cyberattack from a group believed to have been affiliated with Russia accessed sensitive information in voter records, including Social Security numbers, according to the Time report.

The report comes amid multiple investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible ties to President Trump’s campaign.
