Former Bush aide: Trump is a ‘cyberbully’ who destroyed GOP

Nicole Wallace, MSNBC anchor and former aide to President George W. Bush, said President Trump’s tweets about his former officials amounts to “cyberbullying.” 

During an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Wallace provided her thoughts on Trump’s Twitter habit.

“You can’t treat people on Twitter the way the president treats former officials of his government without getting kicked out of most private and public schools. I mean, it’s cyberbullying,” Wallace told Meyers. 

{mosads}A number of House Republicans and other Republican politicians have expressed concern about Trump’s tweeting recently, with many advising him to stop.

Wallace added that Trump’s “conduct is so unprecedented.” 

Wallace said that Trump destroyed the Republican Party and that opposing Trump is not necessarily a partisan issue between Republicans and Democrats.

“It’s a bridge too far for most people I know frankly, to support this president. It’s not about Republican and Democrats. It’s sort of about reveling and blowing up everything that was normal,” she told Meyers. “I find being at MSNBC that I am more upset about him than most of the liberal people that work there because he destroyed something that I cared about, the Republican Party.”

She also defended White House press secretary Sean Spicer. 

“He has an impossible job, but no one makes him stay in it,” she said.

“I don’t know where his line is, but they’ve crossed a lot of lines that I wouldn’t have stayed there for,” Wallace added.
