‘Introverted’ Jeb Bush: I’m learning to ‘show my heart’

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) said he’s learning to “show my heart” as he prepares to officially announce his presidential candidacy on Monday.

“It’s something that took a little getting used to for me,” he said during an interview that aired Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

{mosads}“I’m kind of introverted,” he added.

Bush is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father, George H. W. Bush, who served as the 41st president and turned 91 on Friday.

“I’m not going to try to think about that because Bushes are known to cry once in awhile,” said the soon-to-be GOP presidential candidate, who unveiled a new logo over the weekend.

Notably, the logo does not include his famous last name.

But Bush acknowledged that his father’s time in office has significantly influenced him as a politician.

“I love my dad,” he said. “I’ll be thinking about him when I announce my decision.”

Bush also touted his credentials during the interview that was recorded in Estonia, where Bush was wrapping up a five-day tour in Europe.

“I’ve made tough decisions,” he said. “I’ve lived overseas, I’ve worked overseas, I’ve been in business.”
