Iran’s supreme leader trolls Trump with photo of himself reading ‘Fire and Fury’

Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday trolled President Trump by sharing a photo of himself reading the controversial tell-all book on the president’s administration, just days after Trump backed out of a nuclear accord with the country.

Khamenei’s photo showed him reading author Michael Wolff’s 2018 bestseller, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” — a book that rocked Washington and the international community with its provocative descriptions of the commander in chief and his inner circles.

“This man will turn to dust and his body will become food for snakes and ants,” Khamenei said this week in response to Trump’s announcement. “And the Islamic Republic will still be standing.”

Members of the country’s Parliament reacted to Trump’s decision by burning a symbolic copy of the deal along with an American flag and chanting “death to America.”

Iran’s president, however, has indicated that his country would remain committed to the terms of the agreement without U.S. participation.
