Meghan McCain fires back at Drudge over ‘obnoxious’ headline

Meghan McCain fired back at The Drudge Report after the site tweeted that her father, Arizona Sen. John McCain, was in the “fight of his life” for reelection.

The tweet was linking to a Washington Post story, which was headlined “John McCain is in the fight of his political life in the age of Donald Trump.” 

McCain was captured while fighting in the Vietnam War in October of 1967. As a prisoner of war, he was tortured and put in solitary confinement for years. He was released in March 1973. 

He’s up for reelection this cycle, facing a tough primary on Tuesday against Kelli Ward.
