Pop star Madonna on Tuesday slammed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for attacking comic Rosie O’Donnell during Monday’s debate.

“Mess with my girl Rosie and you’re messing with me,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “Cruelty never made anyone a winner.”

The two celebrities have previously endorsed Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee.

Trump rekindled his feud with O’Donnell late Monday, arguing the television personality “deserved” attacks she faced from their war of words when Clinton hit him for derogatory comments toward women.

“Rosie O’Donnell, I said very tough things to her, and I think everybody would agree that she deserves it, and nobody feels sorry for her,” Trump said.

O’Donnell, a former co-host on ABC’s “The View,” responded later Monday night by calling Trump an “orange anus” who “will never be president.”

Trump and O’Donnell began feuding over a contestant in his Miss USA pageant in 2006. O’Donnell challenged Trump’s business acumen during the spat, calling him a “snake oil salesman,” and Trump retaliated by characterizing O’Donnell as a “real loser” and “a woman out of control.”

Clinton used Trump’s language toward women, including O’Donnell, to accuse him of sexism during Monday evening’s debate.

“This is a man who has called women pigs, slobs and dogs,” she said at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. “Someone who has said pregnancy is an inconvenience to employers, said women don’t deserve equal pay unless they do as good a job as men.”
