Hillary Clinton says in a new interview that she is “convinced” there was collusion by associates of President Trump and Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The former Democratic presidential nominee told USA Today there “certainly was communication and there certainly was an understanding of some sort.”

“Because there’s no doubt in my mind that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin wanted me to lose and wanted Trump to win,” she said.

Clinton was further pressed on whether she believes there was collusion by Trump associates.

“I’m convinced of it,” she said.

“I happen to believe in the rule of law and believe in evidence, so I’m not going to go off and make all kinds of outrageous claims. But if you look at what we’ve learned since [the election], it’s pretty troubling.”

There are currently multiple investigations into the Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential race.

The Senate and House Intelligence committees, as well as the Senate Judiciary Committee, are all pursuing parallel probes. Special counsel Robert Mueller is spearheading the federal investigation.

Trump has repeatedly denied collusion and has chided the Russia investigation as a witch hunt.
