Michelle Obama’s moving woes
Michelle Obama says her family’s got a lot of tidying up to do — and not a lot of time to do it.
{mosads}“We’ve got to move to a new home,” Obama told a crowd Wednesday at a rally for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in Philadelphia.
“We’ve got to pack up the old house, get it cleaned up, so we can get our security deposit back,” she joked. The Obamas will depart from the White House on Jan. 20, after the next president is inaugurated.
It took four days of packing to move former President George W. Bush and Laura Bush out of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., according to a story this week in the Washington Business Journal.
But schlepping their stuff to their new digs in a private residence in Washington’s Kalorama neighborhood isn’t the only thing the family has to tackle.
“My husband’s got to find a new job,” Obama said to laughs. “I have to find a new job!”
