Taylor Swift makes push for early voting in midterms
The suddenly politically outspoken Taylor Swift is making a push for early voting in the upcoming midterm elections.
The “Delicate” singer in a Wednesday Instagram post encouraged her more than 112 million followers to cast their ballots ahead of the Nov. 6 elections, sharing a pair of photos of herself and writing:
In recent weeks, 28-year-old Swift has gone from remaining famously mum on political issues to rallying her fanbase to head to the polls.
She broke her political silence on Instagram earlier this month with an endorsement for former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen (D) over Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) in the state’s Senate race.
During an acceptance speech at the American Music Awards days later, Swift encouraged viewers to “get out and vote.”
